The SABENS Group

Bridging traditional and emerging learning systems

ABOUT US

In 1996, The SABENS Group was founded to encourage interest-based learning.  We incorporate this concept into our  projects, appreciating that the transition between traditional and emerging technology is a continuous, ever-evolving territory.

The guiding inspiration for our current long-term projects originally developed from informal program experience with children in the early era of public internet access. We remain continually challenged to expand content beyond local resources and to safely share those experiences with others.

Our history of designing innovative programs enables perspective. We utilize online communications systems at a pivotal time as programs and projects must continually bridge into new forms of tools. These changes require fellow collaborators to produce successful outcomes.

OUR VISION

The Internet has changed the way we live. Its capacity to unite us in real-time and at our leisure has changed communications affecting all types of organizations.

Since inception, The SABENS Group  strengthens connections between existing programs using communications technology. This focus allows  diverse groups including  community organizations, educational institutions, businesses, and non-profit organizations to collaborate.  Each becomes greater than the sum of their parts: the relationships build community beyond the physical definition.

This vision evolved from a history with serving community youth programs, enhancing access to  formal education topics with support from government and business. Currently The SABENS Group collaborates to augment learning through integrated technology to advance STEM integration.  This collective support also strengthens the synthesis between traditional academic domains, which enables diverse entries to individualize learning.

The projects that we accept are driven by interest and based on a spirit of inquiry and innovation. We remain devoted to the concept of partnership, collaboration and creating new communities to advance the fellowship of learning.
